This work is a large scale, ten movement choral work that is designed to challenge the choir with innovative textures, harmonies, and compositional techniques. Inspired by text written by the late Icelandic poet, Jónas Hallgrímsson, this composition delves into the universe, exploration of the stars, and even philosophy, telling the tail of a voyager who encounters a number of different heavenly bodies and beings.
This work is scored for SATB divisi and soprano, tenor, and baritone soloists.
